What it will and will not do

What it will do

  • Read a half-hourly meter file from your own device. It is read in your browser, not uploaded.
  • Take a tariff you enter yourself: supply charge, rates, time windows, any daily cap and its excess rate, and the feed-in rate.
  • Add up what the same half-hours would have cost, month by month, with the assumptions beside the result.
  • Show one household's comparisons as worked examples.

What it will not do

  • Model different battery behaviour. It replays the half-hours as recorded.

For the whole market

To compare every offer for your address, use Victorian Energy Compare or Energy Made Easy. The bill replay answers a different question: what your own half-hours would have cost on one tariff.

Meanwhile

The free-window calculator is live. It works out how full a battery gets in a free window.
